Persimmon Homes have promoted the Site for development through the Local Plan process to date and are now seeking the community's thoughts on an initial vision for a development on the Site.
The Site has recently been identified by Bath & North East Somerset as a site for potential allocation for residential development within the emerging Bath & North East Somerset Local Plan.
The development would provide a range of benefit which would include the following:
Up to 200 new, zero carbon ready homes
45% of the homes as affordable homes
Significant green infrastructure
New allotments and orchards
Enhanced biodiversity
Financial contributions to the Council via Section 106 and Community Infrastructure Levy
Robust landscaping and tree planting is proposed on the western edge of the Site to sensitively integrate the development into the landscape.
The development would also provide electric vehicle charging infrastructure, attenuation features, and equipped areas of play.
